Who are we?
PSTK is a professional non-profit organisation, and not a translation agency
We are not an intermediary or a translation agency. We are a professional organisation and we work pro bono. We set out and promote standards on the conference interpreting market.
PSTK - a professional recommendation that you can trust
Our interpreters work in pairs and must have full rust for one another. A colleague’s skills contribute to the evaluation of the entire team. PSTK members are interpreters with documented experience, who have received recommendations from those best qualified to evaluate their professionalism – colleagues from the booth.
PSTK means work standards guaranteeing the highest quality
We promote the international work standards of our interpreters, which guarantee faithful, specialist and pleasant interpreting at your conference.
PSTK is a community of conference interpreters
We create a community of conference interpreters. We cooperate in the booth, support one another’s development, and constantly raise our competencies. Together we influence the shape of the conference interpreting industry in Poland.
PSTK is support for organisers of international events
We co-create the success of the Polish industry of events and conferences (MICE). We support it with our experience from hundreds of meetings and professional skills. We share knowledge about the successful organisation of a conference interpretation.
OUR ACTIONS
TRAINING SESSIONS
We organise training sessions on ordering interpretation services for event organisers and public institutions
KNOWLEDGE
We publish infographics, checklists and brochures about both live and online interpretations.
INDUSTRY STANDARDS
We have elaborated the General Principles of Interpretation, which are the Polish adaptation of standards applied on European markets. They are helpful to interpreters and organisers.
PROGRESS OF INTERPRETERS
We organise vocational and business training sessions, as well as networking meetings for our members
PUBLIC TENDER INTERVENTIONS
We react to market practices that are non-compliant with the standards of the profession. If you wish to report a tender that is non-compliant with good practices, write to us
COOPERATION WITH HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
We cooperate with the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw. We support students preparing for the profession of interpreters.
